Bskyb Defies Jackson Trial Filming Ban

British television company BSkyB and an American counterpart have found a creative way around the ban on cameras for Michael Jackson's child-sex trial - dramatic re-enactments.

E! Entertainment Television and satellite company British Sky Broadcasting are joining forces to present daily recreations of the trial, executives announced.

Given international interest in the pop star's case and the lack of cameras, the series will ?bring the trial to life"?, said Ted Harbert, president and chief executive officer of E! Networks.

The partnership calls for five daily half-hour programmes to air during the course of the California trial, due to start on January 31.

Court transcripts will be used to highlight the previous day's testimony and court events, with each network packaging the recreations with its own hosts. The versions will be produced by E! News and, in Britain, Sky News.

On E!, the series also will include commentary by legal analysts. A Saturday wrap-up show is planned.

The series also will air on E! International Network, seen in more than 50 countries.

Jackson, 46, denies molesting a boy, conspiracy and administering an intoxicating agent, alcohol, to his alleged victim.

WTH?? Do they think this trial is some kind of joke or comedy show?? A man is trying to fight for his very own life, which he shouldn't be (thanks to the devil Sneddon). And the media is trying to make a show out of it??? Just to get TV ratings?? ARG!! Outrageous!

thats totally out of bounds....damn, they just loooooooooove kicking a guy when he's down...geez, this isn't a joke, and it never was. they just gotsta get over themselves....

I hope they dont have a weird lookin guy with white powder all over his face like what vh1 did with that man in the mirror movie.

Tired of everyone portraying michael as weird.

There really isnt anything weird about him. They just dont look close enough too see the real person. Annoying. :)

E! channel and court doesnt mix. But i still bet they do a better job with court issues than court tv ever could. :p

yeah, i know...that movie was such a let down... :p (LOL, and the makeup...dang, that actor was like, teal colored at times cuzza the makeup over his dark skin... :p ) and about the portraying Michael as wierd, the public thinks of him like that, so its never a surprise for them...but member how Elizabeth Taylor said that he was the least wierd man she knew? well, i would agree....if i met Michael, LOL. so i dunno obviously, but i wouldn't argue that he is different...but who wouldn't be growing up in the spotlight. people just don't see that he's got it right, the world needs more people like him...he is so wonderful

Exactly! He's been in the spotlight ever since he ws 5 years old. Most child stars don't survive for too long. But Michael did. He survived it for this long, and he still will. AND he's going to fight back for all the atrocities he was made to go through.

yep yep...it seems to me that in fact, Michael is more human than a lot of people today...people just are too blinded to see that...and of course, its not like im saying i think everyone should adore MJ, because all people are different ya know? im just saying that i wish people would judge each other so much...
