Human tooth found in Italian pizza

ROME (Reuters) - An Italian restaurant that sold a pizza with a human tooth baked into the crust has been fined nearly $4,000 (2,137 pounds) for a lack of hygiene.

"It's insanity," cried defence lawyer Massimiliano Manzo, who represented the Florence pizzeria.

"How is the owner of the pizzeria going to force employees to go to the dentist every day or strap a lid over their mouths?" he told Reuters by telephone.

The unidentified client discovered the tooth while chewing a mouthful of pizza in December 2000. He paid the bill, but refused a complimentary supper to patch things over and instead took legal action.

The owner of the tooth was never identified and Manzo refused to discuss how it got into the pizza in the first place.

The lawyer said he would appeal.

What the heck?? That's pretty stupid to take that to court. Okay, a tooth was found. That is disgusting, understandable. But why take it to court??

People take anyhting to court these days, I could have sued a company a few months back, i was in a shop trying on a new bikini for the summer, when the whole compartment i was in collasped around me, i was ok and luckily for me i JUST finished getting dressed, when they came running over i was just like eugh no prob it happens and left, but there are freaks out there who look for accidents and things so they can make money!

Ewww that's super gross~! I probably wouldn't have lived to even think about taking this to court. That is really disgusting. How did a tooth fall in their food? It couldn't have been an accident... maybe they put it there themselves.... [-o<

LOL thats true point! or someone in the restaurant thought it would be fun to do!

Okay this is just getting ridiculous!! What the heck? One day people will just stop going to restaurants or ordering food. LOL.

O I got another idea... maybe the worker there had a little sceme going on and he/she told the customer that there will be a tooth in his/her pizza. And then the worker told the customer to complain about it and take it to court and win big $. Then once the customer wins the case, they split the pot. Hmmmm :-?

or maybe the cook person really hated the person and they hoped that they would choke on it and die. that way they couldnt be done for murder coz they wouldnt have actually done anything to the person?!
