Is the only reason why we hate the tabloid press because Michael Jackson told us to? If not, tell me why. I'm not angry or anything, just curious.

I guess everyone has a different reason. Mine is because they have continuously been bashing Michael and telling lies about him for years, just to sell papers. Scandal sells...and everyone was making up scandals about Michael.

 

That's pretty much it, and anyway, Michael has never said that "All my fans must hate the tabloids" LOL...we just have developed a hate for them because they are complete ish, and they never directly quote anyone...everything anyone says is twisted.

Unless it's a transcript. But newspapers never USE transcripts!!!!!

 

Well, anyway, fans mix up what their idols say all the time. When Michael Jackson said, "The tabloid media is crap..." a fan might take that as, " *insert your name here*, you are an idiot for EVER believing tabloids. You should NEVER read them. Their NEVER true. They ALWAYS make me look bad." Of course, those are the crazy fans who wish they WERE the people that their idolizing. And they act as if they've met them even though it's likeley that they haven't

i dont hate tabloids. i like them a lot actually. its fun to believe things that might happen but arent happening. u just gotta keep ur mind saying "hey u dont know the person so u cant believe what these ppl are saying. u gotta wait until THE person says its really true." and there u go.

I suppose its cos alot of stuff tabloids report is rubbish and we have all learnt that so now its best to ignore them!

I mean i, myself hate all tabloids no matter who they are talking about! like you think about it, there would be no RUMOURS if it werent for them! i mean take all of these "oh is blah blah pregnant" who the f**k really cares. Its their right and they can do anything they want!

Exactly. It's like they think celebrities are some sort of human hybrid...like a different species or whatever, and that their lives are full of drama and scandal. Papers that report "Michael Jackson woke up this morning, went into the studio, wrote a couple songs, layed down some tracks, then went home for a lunch with his children" don't sell. They want: "Michael Jackson must be a total freak based on this very close and reliable source that told us blah blah blah"

Dear nickychris,I can't speak for the rest of the MJ Supporters,but my reason for hating the tabloids is,because like you said "they bash Michael".Another reason they bash other celebrities as well.I won't mention their names,but you know once you see the cover of the tabloids.I hate the tabloids also because they act as if their were actually in the Celebrities homes watching them at their best,or worst.In other words"making up stories to sell their rags".Well I since the 1980's had stop reading them.When I am in any Stores that sells these rags I do not even touch them in order to look inside.I had written a Poem bashing the Tabloids.Titled:"Leave Michael Alone".The Poem is dedicated to Michael,but it is also my indictment against what Tabloids have said about him.Oh, I forgot,it si also my indictment against what commentators,certain talk show hosts,and certain comedians have said in the routine about him.I bashed (hopefully) everyone of them.So,likt I said earlier,nickychris...you are not alone.These are my reasons for hating the Tabloids.If you want to cintact me,Nickychris...please do so continally on this Website,or at [email protected].
