I heard on the news earlier that a fire broke out in a house in small village while a family were sleeping but unfortunatetly there was no fire alarm in the house, and 3 children died an 11months old, a small boy and an 11 yr old, and the mother is struggling to live in hospital, i just felt so bad when i heard this!

i hate it when there are stories like this around. they make me feel so sad!! it really makes you realise how much a little thing can change your whole life.

I kno i couldn't even begin to feel what the children's families are feeling, it must be like having your WHOLE world crashing around you!

the mum must be devastated. can you imagine she must be thinking if only i put a fire alarm up we could all still be alive. i feel sorry for her so much. its bad enough that her children have died but she could have done something to stop it so she must be feeling so bad right now. i bet she would do anything to turn back time and just spend a few dollars on a fire alarm

She probably wishes it was heard that had died not her children, It must be so horrible to lose a child let alone 3!!

i lost a child cousin of mine who was only 10 so i can relate to how the mom feels to losing a child in a way

Geez, I hate hearing this kind of news...our world is so messed up, and so filled with despair...its terrible. But then again, without tragedy, we couldn't have good times

Wow that's terrible. I don't think I'd want to live if I was the mother, though. If my whole family died... what would I have to come back to? I mean, the loss of an entire family would be too much for me to handle. I lose a pet and I think it's the end of the world so I can't imagine what she must be going through. I feel really bad for her.

Not sure of exact place but it was a small village in the UK.

That heartbreaking. They Should really make fire alarms compulsory in every house.

I thought most houses don't have fire alarm?

it is isnt it?? but then again who would know if you did or not i mean theyre not really going to send someone round to everyones house just to see if they have a fire alarm are they??

yeah but if they make it a law, then if a fire brakes out the homeowners can be to blame, thats if they are lucky enough to survive oh course!
