A Poem To My Mommy!

Featured Replies

I wrote this for my mom when she was ill, she nearly died before christmas, and was in hospital for about 5 months and i missed her soo much, she's getting better now and were going on holiday next month.. but i appreciate if someone could let me know what they think of my poem that i wrote for her?

The morning came, you weren't here,

Just a single lonely wet tear,

The evening came you still weren't here,

So much I longed for that familiar voice.

The sheets all clean,

The dishes all washed,

Nothing left for me to do,

Except wish to be near you.

It's that time again,

The empty room full of so much silence,

The smell sadness and dread,

I see you sitting beside your hospital bed,

I wish you were where you belong mom,

Back at home with me and dad.

They say your getting better now,

Expect you home any day,

I don't know how much longer I can last,

Please mom you have to forget your past.

The day is here,

Finally your home,

I see you now sitting where you belong,

Perked up in your own bed, in your own room,

You say your getting better now,

I think so too any day now,

You will be the old mummy that I love so much!
