I think it really depends on what you plan on doing. I mean, if you are gonna get right out there and start auditioning, people will see what you're about. And while some people might have doubts when they see you don't have a degree, but if you trust your talent then I don't see why not having a degree would stop you from getting as much work :D

By the way, what type of work will you be looking for?

if you want to have a life in acting then go for it!! the later you leave it then the harder it will be for you to find work later so you can get your degree and then if you decide that you dont want to do acting then you can do something else.

its not up to your parents whether you get a degree or not especially if your paying for it. you dont want to turn into one of them people who had their dreams smashed because there oarents didnt want them to do it!!! its your life and your the one who has to live it so dont let your parents do it for you!!

Hmm, well I think it could really add something to your versatility as an actor and performer, but then again, you could take some time just to kinda stretch your wings, see how ya do you know?

If all goes well, GO FOR IT :D and if you feel you are lacking in certain ways, go for a degree :p

I do want the degree cos i still don't have much confidence which i think that why im so clumsy on stage because my whole body shakes, and i end up falling cos im trying to hide the fact that im trembling!! 8-}, oh i still dont kno, cos if my parents dont support i dont think i can afford it, costumes and props and workbooks all cost alot.. eugh soo confused!!

maybe if you just explain to them that its what you really want to do and make an amazing speech about how acting is you life etc then maybe it will make them change their minds and support you all the way!!

well done!!!! i think its a great idea 2 get the degree. u dnt need 2 listen 2 ur parents, because sometimes they jus dont kno whats best for u (no matter how many times they say it. LOL). oh and dont worry about saving money. set up a savings account and put most of ur wages into that. u can just watch ur money grow. hehe

LOL. if you ever have the urge to buy something just think about your degree and think that if you buy it then it will take that extra bit longer to afford it. dont worry if you save up al your money you will have enough in no time!!
