Sir William Marshal AKA Michael Jackson

Michael Jackson adopted the name of an 800-year-old British knight to check into a London hotel while in the country, it has been claimed.

 

Jackson has been in the UK over the last week, in his first significant public appearance since being cleared of all charges in his child molestation trial.

 

The pop superstar, who prompted chaos amongst fans in London at the weekend, is reported to have been staying at the Dorchester Hotel while in the country.

 

He is understood to have adopted the name of Sir William Marshal, one of the country's most infamous knights of the realm, claims The Sun.

 

A 'source' told the paper: "Michael likes to use various pseudonyms when he books into hotels. William Marshal appealed to him because he's such a huge fan of British aristocracy.

 

"He picked the name himself partly as a tribute and partly to divert attention from himself. He thinks that Lords and Ladies stay at the Dorchester all the time."

 

Meanwhile, it has been claimed that Jackson was turned away from a star-studded party at the Hard Rock Caf??'? in London earlier this week, for arriving too late.

 

A source told Britain's Daily Mirror newspaper: "When he was told the party was a no-go, he didn't kick up a fuss, he just quietly left."

 

A spokesman for Jackson confirmed the reports, admitting: "Michael was disappointed he could not attend the party as he likes Hard Rock Cafes He'd like to come down to the restaurant before he leaves the UK"
