When you look at the sky at night, to the clouds appear to be a bright white? (No.)

 

Color is not a constant. Color only exists when there is light, because that's what it is: light waves. And even yet, we only consider true colors to be the colors that we can percieve.

 

The sky is purple.

 

No, seriously. The sky is purple, naturally, in the daylight. However we can't see those waves of purple, because they're ultraviolet. We only percieve the blue, therefore we reach the common and accepted belief that "The sky is blue."
