Hello.. I was just wondering if anyone in here watches General Hospital, by chance? It's a soap, the only one I really like... and it comes on ABC every weekday at 3:00PM - EST.

 

Guess what else? RICK SPRINGFIELD IS BACK!!

 

(He played Dr. Noah Drake back in the 80's, left the show, and now he's back...and his son Patrick is gorgeous)

 

One day I'm going to inundate you with my love for this show, but right now I'm still too lazy.

i never watched this. the only Soap opera i watch is "passions" on nbc its so damn weird.

general hospital? LMAO possibly the worst acting skills on the tv!!!!!!!

I've never heard of it. The only American soaps we have here are Days of our lives, Young & the Restless, Bold and the Beautiful and Passions. My Mum is obsessed with Days of our Lives LOL

My mom watches that Days.. or used to, ever since we got the net, thats all she really does. ha if she couldn't get on the net, she'd be watching days. Sometimes she'll turn it on and listen to it while she is online. HAHA

 

I always found them to be very boring. I like passions though. I remember when it first came on tv and maybe thats why i still watch it. I dont watch it all the time. I can watch maybe 1 time a week and thats all you really need to watch to know whats going on because usually all it is is just stupid drama that goes and goes and goes and then happens again and over and over. LOL kinda annoying actually.

 

I hate waiting for something good finally to happen! that show used to seriously make me stressed because i couldnt take the bullshit anymore!!! LMAO

To Me Soaps are boring as hell. And the storylines are completley stupid and unrealistic. I don't know how my mum can sit there and watch it everyday. Once on days, there was this serial killer in the town and she was killing all these people. The people she killed really didn't die, but they were shipped off to some island which is a replica of the Salem (The town they lived in). Anyway they had to escape this deserted Island which was guarded by lasers. Most of them got home safely but the whole story was totally stupid. One of the guys even got bit by a snake in the middle of nowhere but nothing happened to him.

I know, I love the ridiculousness!

 

GH went through this spell last summer where it was completely boring. I could miss two weeks, then jump right back in and know everything that had been going on, it was getting really sad, LOL. I've been mad ever since Tamara Braun, who's been there four years, left back in April and they replaced her with Jennifer Bransford , but now Laura Wright took the role of Carly, and I'm liking this one.

 

Most of the characters are pretty unlikeable to me; Sonny Corinthos (Port Charles mob-boss) & family (including ex-wife, Carly) are the only ones that really interest me, along with Luke, Alexis Davis, and Helena--who's the reason I began watching. The rest aren't really that grand.

 

Manny Ruiz, a rivaling mobster from Miami has been in town since the summer, and he caused the train wreck that nealy killed the entire cast... but when taken into police custody collapsed in seizure and had to have brain surgery because he had a condition causing the arteries in his brain to malfunction, and there was a lack of blood the the area that controlled aggression and judgement, and now he's all sorry for what he did. Alexis had been appointed as his defense attorney, even though she and her daughter were nearly killed by him, and I'm excited about the upcoming trial because that's an excellent defense she has on her hands and I wanna see how she works with it.

 

Anyway, I grew up with this because mother has been viewing for over 20 years.... but I became an avid viewer when I was around 10 or 11 when Helena brought back her son Stavros from the dead, who's been chriogenically (sp?) frozen for around twenty years himself. Wild, I know. Helena's one of those creepy old homocidal rich women who seems to never die. Last time I checked she had run off to hide from authorities in a South American convent... anyway.....
