which concert DVD would you buy?

Featured Replies

If Michael ever decides to release another concert dvd (which they might since they release alot of stuff lately to just make money)... which tour would you want it to be from?

Bad Tour

Dangerous Tour

HIStory Tour

or other various performances.

If he were to release another one from the Dangerous tour (which i think is very unlikely) it'd have to be amazingly rare concert for most fans to wanna buy it.

I think any bad tour or HIStory tour would sell good.

Especially HIStory tour since it is the most recent and more younger fans would want it. I'd really want it!

I've been wanting a HIStory tour high quality dvd for a long time now! i'd probably pass out if i heard he was going to release one.

any ways. Which concert would you want him to release?

i agree with u josh, i so want a HIStory tour 2 b released. but i think everyone on the forum knows wot we want. LOL. hopefully the concert from the 17th july. i was there LOL. i kno they had cameras there cuz i remember i kept looking at them. it makes so much sence 2 release them. i mean yea they only want 2 do it 2 make money but i kno so many ppl will buy them. his music was so popular around the bad era right thru 2 the HIStory era. people will wanna c him peform all the hits

I want Bad Tour in Wembley to be release. I've only ever seen amatuer footage. History I would buy too cause that's where I first became a fan. I'll never forget when that concert was on tv. I was going crazy watching Mike do all that stuff. I was like "Man, I've never seen anything like this" All the people that were big at that time were Backstreet Boys, Nsync, Spice Girls... etc. But Michael Jackson was so different from them. I would love to have History tour release but I also really wanna see the bad tour because he was at the peak of his career at that time. If Bad tour and History tour was released at the same time I would buy the Bad tour first and History after.

I think it'd help him alot of if people could see these. he is so different form any other performer and alot of people now dont know that or have forgotten. If he let MTV or some channel air one of these concerts (not dangerous bucarest) but a cooler one such as one from HIStory, people would go crazy. I know they would. So even if they dont have it for sell, they should air it on some channel.

Actually I dont think MTV deserves to air it. I'd say a channel like BET who actually stuck with Michael and supported him when things werent going to good. MTV always only looked after their own interests.

Yeah, It will be really great if they showed them all on tv again. That way, more of the younger fans could see His old concerts that they didn't get a chance too see.

To Josh, There's heaps of History concerts online to download that are in dvd quality.

^ That's what I was about to suggest. Yeah, the one from Munich '97 you can stick on Full Screen and it looks incredible!

Personally, I prefer the Bad tour to HIStory, and maybe Dangerous. Bad and Dangerous are right up there with each other. My only thing with the HIStory tour, is that (in my experience) he lip-synchs alot, which dissapoints me. Sure, he lip-synched some in the Dangerous concert too, but he does it alot more on the History tour, and it's pretty obvious at times. Other than that I think it's a great show.... a little flambouyant, but a great show.

My favorite tour is Bad. I've seen the full version of Yokohama '87, and it's amazing. As far as I could tell, he sang almost (if not all) of the songs live, and the energy was infectious. I think that people would appreciate something from the Bad tour, because it's harder to come across one it good quality, and a full concert in general... also, no full shows from the Bad tour were aired on American TV (to my knowledge), but Dangerous and HIStory were. I think that the younger fans would already be more familiar with the more recent tours, and something like Bad would appeal to them because they haven't seen as much of it.

And I agree with what Josh said--he should run some of these on TV, so they could be re-introduced to the mass public, and people today could see what Michael Jackson the entertainer is really all about, instead of just knowing him as "Wacko Jako." But I think they should do it on a station like ABC or CBS, something that people just instinctively turn to looking for a sitcom or news to watch... and *bam* there'll be Michael Jackson. They'll be intrigued, then they'll get into it, then they'll start trying to moonwalk and busting their bum.... and voila, you have a whole new generation of fans! :D

(I know, that obviously didn't work as planned with the 30th Anni. concert, but I'm just dreaming over here.)

Anyway... I think Bad would be the best bet because that was when he was at the height of his career and it's harder to come across in great quality. It's something the newer fans are unfamiliar with, and something the older fans would appreciate to see again. :)

i've searched for a good dvd quality download. but when you burn them to dvd, they aren't dvd quality anymore. Usually the video screen size is really tiny. its not the same. I had some on my pc before.

That's weird. Mine always look better on the tv then it does on the computer. Most of the concerts online are ripped off a vhs tape, which looks bad on the pc but when you watch on a tv it looks like you're watching a video.

im really picky about stuff like that. The tv pixel resolution or whatever you call it is alot smaller than the resolution on a computer. so a small picture on the pc will be alot bigger on the tv. I can always download and burn to tv but its still never dvd quality. the frame size of most of the videos on the net are like 300 pixels in width. I think you'd need atleast 700 to make it look nice on tv. Thats why i want it professionally done and released. No more of these people on ebay taken advantage of desperate mj fans and taking their money for cheap ass dvdr copies.

You must have better eye sight then me LOL. I understand what you're saying how it has to be streched to fit the tv screen. The dvd burning program should automatically resize it to 700px in width. I use nero and it always comes out ok when I download something in good quality and burn it to dvd. Not really dvd quality but more like vhs quality. It would be nice if they released it officially though. Sony should release a box set with all the tours in it. That'll sell big time IMO. I'm sure Elvis has a dvd boxset like that.

I completely agree!! :D

HIStory Tour!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The Munich or Bucharest one, those were the best. Or the BAD tour would be nice also, but it has to be the second or 3rd leg (88).

:D :D I would love to have the bad dvd , but i would buy any i could get. It would be great to have them all wouldn,t it.

I agree. I would buy anything he releases. The guys at mjuk are on a mission to get Bad 88 released. I would love for Michael to release all of the concerts though.

i have the 1987 or 88 (dont know when it was LOL) concert on japan on tape. I'd still rather have HIStory. I don't think that you can compare the 2.

Maybe Bad Tour is alot better than the Japan tour. I think they did the japan tour to just test out things that they were going to do for the Bad tour. Maybe thats why I dont think it was as good (only seen the japan one)

I still think HIStory would be alot better. That'd probably be the only MJ item that'd i'd go super crazy over!

it'd had to be bad. he's voice is the best and he looks real good. he's dancin wasnt perfect at the time but it was good enough. if there was a J5 dvd that would b even better.

i think the way he did billie jean during the bad tour was the best. I never noticed his dancing wasnt that good bad then, but i've only seen the japan tour concert and the 1988 grammy's. seemed really good to me though.

im not gay but i do admit michael looked better back then. I think anyone looks better when darker, tan colored skin.

oh yean to mention that the Smooth Criminal video was shot during that time and the dancing is amazing and flawless. I watch that video with my mouth dropped because of how smooth and amazing it is.

Criminally Smooth.

That has to be my favorite MJ choreography, ever. It's his best video, best video concept, best video outfit, best video DANCING. Smooth Criminal is incredible. :p

I love Smooth Criminal too. The Lean is awesome and the choreography. Dangerous is pretty cool also when he peforms it onstage.

remember when he said he was thinking of making it a Western type of video?

im so glad he didn't do that. on the private home videos, they showed part of the demo shoot or whatever and it looked kinda lame. I don't think it would of had the same effect if he kept that concept. Im sure he still could of pulled of an amazing video. when i hear the beat and song to SMOOTH CRIMINAL i think of the scene in the video so the song matches the video perfect.

Did he perform Smooth Criminal during the bad tour?

Back then they didnt have the head set microphones and had to hold it when his hand, that had to ruin the dancing some.
