God I'm so morbid sometimes....

 

But I was just watching a recap of 2005 on the world news, and they were talking about all the celebrities and people of importance that passed away this year. Pope John Paul II, Bob Denver, Sandra Dee, Luther Vandross, and Peter Jennings among others. And I remember when all of them died, and how the world seemed to stand still for a week or so and there was all this appreciation for what they did, and all kinds of mourning in general.

 

And I couldn't help but realize... Michael Jackson will die one day, too. I don't know why I never thought about that before, but he will. I just always kind of saw him as this entity, I never really thought about the fact that he will die too.

 

Which leads me here; How will the world react? I've been wondering that for a while. Certainly they wouldn't be disrespectful... at least I hope not. I'd probably have to go vomit my guts up if I heard a joke right after his death, but, I wonder what kind of memorials will take place. What kind of specials will they be showing on TV, recapturing his life? What kind of light will they be shown in? Will they try to continue to paint him as a monster? Or, will they finally look back and realize the error of their ways in passing judgement on him?

 

What if it takes until after Michael Jackson is dead for today's society to respect him as a person, and his work?

 

How sad that idea is.

 

Even worse, though, is what if they paint his life as this "giant tragedy" as they seem to think it is now. What if that's all people ever remember him as, and he loses his entire legacy of being the best entertainer in the world and a caring humanitarian? What if they paint his entire life wrong and in history he is remembered as some freak, some pedophile who got away, all because the media decided to make him out to be that?

 

We all know Michael Jackson isn't a monster, but what if the media decides to turn his memory into one?

 

 

 

 

Sorry if this is depressing you guys or anything, it's just on my mind right now.

if the media make Michaels memory into a Monster then i can see riots by the fans especially the really big big fans that have been fans since they were a young toddler its not right that they should turn his life or his memory upside down becoz in the long run what has he ever done to others

 

its just stupid to make someones life and their memory when they pass away into such a monster they should respect it and cherish it

Them making michael look weird now is just a game or something and michael even does some things to make himself look odd for publicity. but if he died there would be no need to publicity and i think the games would stop. no one would wanna joke about someone who died so i think he'll probably get more respect then than he does now.

when richard pryor died, no one really dissed him by saying he is a druggy and caught himself on fire and all that t ype of stuff. people wanna remember the good stuff.

i know that and thats why i want to say it would be crazy to make his memory a monster it would be good to remember the good times and not the bad times

I want people to remember him as the great entertainer he was. He changed Music History and he is a legend. No one could ever take away what he's acheived. I think the reason people are doing everything to him now, is because they are trying to break him. They are trying to make people forget the great things Michael has done. You also have to remember that Michael Jackson is African-American. Weither we like it or not there will always be racism and hatred in the world. Michael said that as soon as he started to do really well like get the largest album ever sold, everyone started beating up on him. He was infront of Elvis and the Beatles and no one could stand it. They made story after story and the world fell for it. So all of sudden everyone saw Michael as "the freak" or "Wacko Jackson". Then just 6 months ago he was charged for child molestation. One of the most vicious crimes known to man. Even though he was found innocent, Everyone who wasn't a fan believed he did it. The Fans know more about Michael then anyone else, but people believe the media more than they believe us.

 

Unfortunately I feel that this will all go on after Michael is gone. I know people in the next generations are going to want to know the Mystery of Michael Jackson. And The first thing thay'll go to is internet, newspapers, tv documemtries...etc. Where everything is a lie.

 

I'm so sorry for being so negative but that's just how I feel. I do hope it goes the other way LOL.
