the roses in the rain

The Roses In The Rain

One dark day I discovered

that I remembered my mother

I remember her there

dark black was her hair

and the roses drooped down in despair

I stood in correction

Of her loving affection

for she was the mother of my soul

I saw the roses in the pouring rain

They were tarnished and ripped with black holes

they lay on the street paths

they lay so mistreated

They looked like they hadn't missed much

they remind me of my unique mother

who could never be replaced

So I walked through the beautiful garden of paradise

And the sunshine hit my face

Chorus:

the roses were in the rain

tarnished and killed from pain

from the humans who did not seem to care

but as I looked nearer, it seemed to get clearer

that the roses were not meant to be there

The sunlight beamed down and makes the roses all dry

and the sunlight dried the tears in my eyes

And now the world which I thought was full of care

sits at the feet of the lord Jesus there.

Jesus will judge, yes Jesus shall come

and the angels will make this known by sounding they're drums

With they're wings made of silver and they're hair made of gold

They will make the roses rise & unfold.

the children were playing

and everyone was saying

that summer had finally appeared

but this is exactly, what I dreamed about

this is exactly what I had feared

it was all for our sake that god hung there and died

with the thorns crowned on top of his head

it was all for our sake that he suffered for us

so he could give us eternal life.

Chorus:

the dead roses lay there in the pouring rain

tarnished and killed from pain

from the humans who did not seem to care

but as I looked nearer, I seemed to get clearer

that the roses were not meant to be there

the plants were dead

but now they're alive

And we were dead

but now we survive

So is this a dream?

or is this all real?

Or is this the world of the lord that's ideal?

the roses were wilted

the roses were dead

And the purest of the seas bled and bled

And then gods last words were finally said

he said: "the world I have made now is new"
