The ORIGINAL Bad cover? Better or Worse
I like the lace, though. It's so cool. And it's a fantastic angle of his face.

King & Queen Of Pop Weekend On Magic
VH1 had about three random Michael Jackson maratons, that I can remember, in the early 2000's. The three or so weeks before Invincible was released, they went a little Michael-nuts. That was right when I was discovering Mike... they had a Michael Jackson weekend the weekend before the release of Invincible. (released Oct 30th) They showed all kinds of stuff, and they ended it with Ghosts which came on at night, probably at like 9 or something. I cried when he turned to dust. Then there was the 30th Anniversary concert on CBS, Nov. 13th... And during the month of December, I know it was December because I was on Winter Break at the time, they showed Jacksons: An American Dream and I stayed up until 4 AM watching it, only for it to come on the next day at 12 noon. It was around that time that they had a "Michael Monday" And the last marathon I remember was on Halloween 2002, something like "Michael Jackson's Halloween Crypt" and they showed "King of Videos" "Jacksons An American Dream" the Bucharest 92 concert, which, somehow, I missed most of and only caught the last four songs... I still have tha taping... and then they topped the Halloween-night off with Thriller (full version) and Ghosts. It was fun. I was Mike that year for halloween, too. Stayed on the porch, danced to thriller, handed out candy, and got really strange looks and a few "Aaow!" 's Okay sorry my reminiscing; I'ma shut up now.

It's been almost 4 years now...
Hey, I've been a fan for four years too! October 2001. Unfortunately, I'm in the same boat you are. I've never met a Michael Jackson fan face-to-face before. My Mom's a bit of a fan, but that doesn't really count. People aren't exactly that.... what's the wording.... willing to accept somebody like Michael Jackson in South Carolina. One of the most conservative, redneck, boring, useless pieces of shitty dirt you'll ever see. Oh I'm SO proud.

Jackson/Rowe Hush Money
I agree with you that it's not right for one parent to shut the other out completely of the child's life. But that's not the case here. Michael didn't shut her out, she shut herself out. In 2001 she signed over all of her parental rights to Michael Jackson willingly. In fact, she initiated the movement. She was granted no visitation rights, nor did she petition for any. She has also said in countless interviews that she doesn't want kids, that they were "Michael's children," that she had them for him "as a gift," and essentially that she wanted nothing to do with their life. She hasn't seen the children since 2001. What kind of an emotional bond could she possibly have with them? It's been 5 years.... 5 years. Prince, the oldest, is only 9. He probably doesn't even remember her. I feel absolutely no pity for Debbie, and do not buy, for one minute, that she is looking out for the best interests of her children. I don't even believe it is about the children.

Jackson and Kanye Recording in London?
Is it just me, or did that article go from being about Michael Jackson collaborating with Kanye West to a multi-paragraph tangent on Middle-Eastern millionaires and their abstract links to Jackson from 1995, and then, finally, back to the topic at hand. (Jackson + West) I like the idea of Jackson + West, this could produce great things! Just imagine the possiblities... that they're already working together now only heightens the potential of West collaborating on a new album. Hot, hot, hot.

wonderful news
Thanks for reminding us all, not like we ever actually pay attention to what's going on in Michael Jackson's life.... Boogie down.

Michael's skin condition. Vitiligo.
^ I've heard that many times as well. And well all know the trauma Mike's been through, even from such a young age. I've always believed him when he said that he had vitiligo. You can see where it started to develop in the early 80's. I believe it got worse through the 80's, because if you notice, he didn't start getting really heavy on the foundation and powder until the mid-late 80's. Also, it's inconsistent. You can see some pictures from the Bad era where he clearly still looks black, some where he looks white, sometimes in-between, and sometimes a rather grey-ish tone... But then you look at him in, say, 1991, around the release of Dangerous and he is consistently porcelain white, as he has remained since then. Personally, I think that he had the disease and the other treatments didn't work for him, so he resorted to depigmentation therapy.

Michael's first public encounter
I had a much bigger version of the second one, but I can't find it to save my life.

you wouldn't believe me if I told you
Crawling is more appealing to me than hopping. But that's irrelevant. The real question is: Would you walk 500 miles, then walk walk 500 more?
