same here! i just noticed that....its so messed up, they try to represent all the fans as one stereotypical image...

his last two albums utterly tanked

 

Assuming the author is not referring to the boxset which is certainly not considered an album, I find it amusing that he can say his last two albums 'utterly tanked'.

 

HIStory: 18 million double albums (36 million disks).

Blood On The Dance Floor: 6 million

Invincible: 8 million

Number Ones: 6 million

 

Technically, his last full studio albums were Invincible and HIStory. But even going with Number Ones and Blood On The Dance Floor, 6 million each should hardly be considered 'tanking'. They seem to always compare his most recent sales to his earlier Thriller -- the largest selling album of all time by any artist. Many artists would be thrilled to sell even a million discs -- and articles would call them successful for doing so.
