Earl's Court Officials Cut Jackson Short

Featured Replies

The organisers of the World Music Awards said that they had "not been contacted by any of the fans or had one complaint" regarding the event.

They added that Jackson's performance had been cut short because the ceremony over-ran, breaking a noise curfew at the venue.

"I was standing watching Jackson perform... and suddenly he stopped," said Julius Just, head of Public Relations for the awards.

"They cut the sound on one of the greatest living artists in the world.

"It's the first time anything like this has happened in 18 years of the World Music Awards."

But officials at Earl's Court denied that the sound had been cut.

"We accommodated the show and the show's organisers by obtaining an extension to our licence in order to allow the show to run to eleven o'clock," said spokesman Jeremy Probert.

"And as far as we're concerned, that's what the show did. As a matter of fact, I think it finished about a minute-and-a-half early," he added.

how do i contact them? I'll give them one for their lame ass false advertising that made us all including MJ look bad and like clowns!

WMA's are the only people i know for sure who said Michael was going to really perform.

Michael`s comment to it;

MICHAEL: 'PERFORMING "RUMOUR" WAS "MISUNDERSTANDING"

Pre-Awards Red Carpet Interview Reveals More

After media outlets labelled last night's performance

at the World Music Awards as (amongst other

things) "embarrassing" and "disappointing," it turns

out

that Michael Jackson's appearance on stage was not

a performance at all!

Michael received the Diamond Award as planned from

Beyonc? Knowles (as well another Guinness World

Record certificate) and closed the show by appearing

on stage with an assembled choir of teenagers as

they sang the 80's charity hit We Are The

World.

Although he sang a few words of the song himself,

that didn't stop some fans from booing as the show

closed, obviously expecting much more from the most

successful entertainer of all time. Michael had been

rumoured to perform by various media outlets.

Awards host Lindsay Lohan didn't do herself, Michael

or the fans any favours by

introducing the stage appearance as one of his

first "performances" for years.

However, according to the BBC, he was

never actually meant to perform. During a red carpet

interview as Michael arrived at the awards, (pictured

above, click to enlarge) he was

asked by a BBC reporter if he would be

performing, "Oh, I'm receiving an

award, It's not a performance," he replied defiantly

while also shaking his head vigorously. "It is a

misunderstanding."

It is not wird , that he was booed on when the expected him to perform!

It`s ennjoying that they are setting out this rumer , and of curse they where disepointed!

But the was only `World music award`that said he woud perform.

The realy see to try to get him [-x....sow ennjoying >:p

One girl that I know from other forum was on this show and she said noone from fans had booed Michael. After Michael got his award, Rihanna came to perform, and then fans booed because they didn't want her, they wanted Michael. So Michael never was booed, this is just another media way to put him down, and to show that even fans don't need him anymore what is totally untrue.
