Aaliyah

Featured Replies

Aaliyah (1979-2001) is a really great artist.

On Sunday, August 25, 2001, at 6:49 pm, just after filming of the "Rock the Boat" video was completed in the Bahamas, Aaliyah and seven friends boarded a twin engine Cessna 402B (N8097W) piloted by Luis Morales III. It is believed that this aircraft was headed to Opa-locka Airport near Miami, Florida, when the flight crashed shortly after takeoff. The pilot and all eight passengers were killed.

You mean was?

Yeah...its really sad...says she was found in a swamp with snakes coming out her mouth. eeek!

I still miss Aaliyah so much :p She was so talented and beautiful; I always loved her music, I own all albums by her ... it is a shame she had to gone so soon ;)

She was great in the movie "Queen of the Damned"--didn't like the movie itself too much because it was pretty far off from the book, but she was good in that representation of Akasha. :sofa1:

It's too bad though, I would have liked to see her continue as an actress. Haven't heard any of her music, but part of me doesn't want to as it may spoil my image of her. =)) Still, she seemed sweet. ^_^
