But it seems the line is always busy

I hate your secretary

 

She talks to me like I am a baby

"Do you want to talk to your Daddy?"

Yes, ma'am, I really do!

Would you just hand the phone over to him, you ain't got a clue!

 

She don't know how much I miss you

How much I depend on you

Daddy, will you come home to love on me?

 

My body weak, from waiting on you

Mommy sends me to my room

Daddy will come home, maybe, tonight

 

Before I fall asleep

You sneak into my room

Trying to start a conversation with me,in my dark room

 

"Daddy, not now, I waited all day,"

He never came, this game I will not play

 

Daddy, I love you so

You are my life, my love, my hero

But tell me when you will come, maybe tomorrow?

 

Oh, Daddy, please come back home

Do you still love me?

Well this isn't exactly about my dad. It's about how many people feel about their fathers. My dad is very sweet and all that good stuff, so this isn't really about him. But yeah, none the less I was crying while I wrote it.
