I stayed up one Christmas Eve

I waited and waited

For Santa to come

First I saw Rudolph

Then Dasher and Dancer

And Vixen, then the whole sleigh

With nice Saint Nick

He was smiling and waving

I knew for sure it was him

My face lit up

With childish joy

The night I will never forget

 

No I never got a gift

No dolls or any toys

With a note saying ?from Santa?

But I got something greater

The wonderful Christmas spirit

And being able to still believe

In Santa Claus
