What do you all think about MJHQ fan site hosting?

Featured Replies

I have an idea to increase the MJ fan sites out there, which would improve on the spreadation of MJ news (i don't think spreadation is a real world, ha), and also get MJ's face our there more.

I am thinking about starting a new FREE MJ fan site hosting, that will come with professional tools, such as cpanel, mysql database, and the latest technology in php and mysql and more.

I am thinking there will be zero ads, but i cannot garuntee this. I want to advertise this forum or something, so maybe a small link on the site linking to the forums and site will be nice.

But i am sure of one rule that will exist which is: NO FORUMS.

Why will forum hosting not be allowed? Because there are too many MJ forums out there, and it's ruing the communities in my opinion, and i want the MJHQ fan site webmasters and visits to use this forum. So in a way if you want the hosting you will need to be active here.

and also ofcourse you'd have to follow laws such as no illegal content such as illegal mp3's and such.

I am still coming up with this idea and everything, so it's all sitll fresh, and things could be added, took away and overall changes.

But there will be no forced popup, popunder ads nor nothing on the top of the pages or anywhere that'll make the pages look awful. Again it'd most likely be a link on the page in someplace noticeable that you'll add yourself, or something.

Each fan site's url will look like: http://www.mjhq.com/NAME

so you'd just replace NAME with the name of your site or whatever you'd want it to be.

Maybe we'd even use subdomain hosting which would be:

http://NAME.mjhq.com

What do you all think about this? And you have any ideas and suggestions?

The MJHQ store is going to return soon, and i think the hosting will be an item.

Although it says "store", there is no actual money being exchanged, but you pay with the points you earn from posting on the forum.

The reason i think that it'd be best to have the users pay by post for the hosting is that way only the active accounts will be filling up the server.

LOLOLOL your screen name is soooo hilarious ... basket case... lolol too funny... BUT YEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAA MJHQ returns... i missed it :(

Would you all even use the web hosting???!?!

I am going to reinstall the store sometimes this week, which will calculate the points you earn from posting, and help pay for your hosting. remember its MJHQ money so no actual money will be placed anywhere with this.

Of course staff members will get hosting for free, as long as they are active here. :(

I work for MJackson we opened on 1st May this year and we are only new although we all have worked on other forums in the past. We maybe interested in your idea. I will put it forward to the Admin staff on MJackson. If you want to see our website the url is www.mjackson.com. I am sure we can both help each other as we also want more activity on our site as well.

i'm not really sure of what you are asking about?

I could actually set up the hosting using your own domain, but it would cost a bit more than the average hosting plan.

Does your site have a forum on it? if so it might make it a bit difficult to post enough on here to earn the points, and then to pos ton your own.

You can always PM me if you would like to discuss some custom/special deal.

i will get back to you on this subject ASAP just discussing it with the staff on MJackson.

Do we have to post regularly in you forum to get hosted on their site. And if your offer costs more than regular hosting anyway, it doesn't seem worth it really.

I'm not prepared to sell any hosting for actual money.
