If you had to choose which was Michaels best quality as a performer would you choose his dancing or his singing? Which comes first for you?

Yeah. It's close but the singing takes the lead for me as well.

I'm never a fan of dance till I became an MJ fan.

Actually I like his PERSONALITY most.

Coz when I became a fan I only knew a few songs of him.

Agreed. It seems Michael has taken preference to dance for some performances. In some of the concerts he gave up singing and mimed so he could do a more demanding dance routine or dance orientated performance. I supose it wasn't bad on the Dangerous tour for songs such as Jam, Smooth Criminal because it gave a bit of both but the HIStory tour was awfull for singing. Still a fantastic show though.

I'd prefer a live singing performance without dancing than a miming and dancing performance.

If Michael mimes I really don't care, People complain about him lip synching on HIStory and Dangerous tours but I feel Michael Jackson has EARNED the right to lip sync, he has PROVED that he can sing, he grew up and sung live with the j5 almost every live performance, and concert. So by the time he got to the dangerous world tour he was thirty something and had done live singing for almost three decades LOL. So I am one who grants Michael his lip syncing card. Now you compare that to other artist who have just entered that business and have been lip syncin since day ONE.

I think the people that payed money to hear him sing live would say differently I'm not complaining, they were still fantastic (above anyone else) shows. They just would have been alot better if they had have been sung live.

<_< Id say dancing but i havent seen anythin new. Even the stuff from YRMW was borroed from Dangerous (not smooth criminal) but his singin has by far improved so id have to say that.

I actually prefer his younger voice than now.

But I still like it now of course.

His voice has technicaly improved. His vocal range has widened. I think his voice was at its peak during the Thriller/ Bad era. Now he has a different kind of crustier quality to his voice which is cool.

Better than anyone. Even on his worse day. I do think he sings better than any male vocal artist but his dancing is still better in my opinion.

Yeah his voice becomes deeper now. It's nice too, depends on your preference. Just that I personally like his smooth and sweet voice more than his deep or angry voice...
