"Thanks for coming over,Debbie. He's never done this before,"Michael was practically bowing down to his ex wife.Whenever Blanket had done something wrong,he would always call her. This time,he had snuck off.It was beyond Michael that his son could sneak out of Neverland with all the security, but he knew his son was cunning.
"I don't know why it had to be him!Prince wasn't like this, nor Paris..."Debbie interrupted him.
"He's a different person,Michael. He's not going to have a platinum record or a wife and daughter anytime soon. He's not them. He's different."she had the right of the situation,he had to admit.Ever since the divorce two years ago,his childen had definately changed.Blanket,it seems, had been affected the most.Debbie was the only one who could control her son.
"So how are Paris and Flex?"Debbie asked, inquiring about her only daughter and her fiancee,Flex Alexander. They were off somewhere with Flex's parents.Paris was 23,a woman grown, but Michael couldn't let his little girl go.She had accomplished so much...a 10X platinum record by the age of 17,graduating from a prestigious college, but she would always be his baby girl.
It was the same with his first son.Prince was married to a wonderful girl with a three year old daughter.Ko and Kaylee were the pride of his son's life, and not many men could show that.He was a choreographer, and had done some of the best dance films in cinema history. He had gotten the dance gene from his old man.
Quiet footsteps broke Michael's prideful thoughts.Debbie looked up with alert blue eyes.Blanket.The teenage boy walked into the sitting room, trying to pass by his parents.Almost immediatly,Michael broke his silence.
"Where have you, young man?"Michael was fighting to keep his cool.Blanket's emerald eyes darted around the room nervously.
"Nowhere.Just..out."He didn't dare look up.Casting a pleading glance to his mother, she held her chin up and arched her eyebrows. The teenager sighed;she wouldn't be much help in this one.
"Were you out to see Alyssa?Don't lie to me,son."Debbie's voice was calm and collected. She could restrain herself better than her once-husband.
"...No..."he lied in a whisper.
"Yes you did!Don't lie to her."Michael was losing his temper. He had gone too far this time.
"Michael, stop it.You,young man,I'll be over here tomorrow, bright and early,to deal with you.Count on it.Now,to your room.If anyone tells me they saw you wandering the halls at all tonight,you...are going...to get it,"Debbie was almost smiling with triumph as her youngest son sighed with defeat and walked up the stairs.
"I can't do this,Deb.Not another teenager.I can't take it.Paris and the boys are going to be the death of me.I know it.You stay here for the night, please. You promised you'd deal with him tomorrow."
