Featured Replies

There is a huge Holiday Sale going on right now on Steam.

http://store.steampowered.com/

They say they have huge sales on over 1,000 games thats goin on from Dec 20th to Jan 2st.

All the games that are super cheap right now, such as Bad Company 2 ($6.79!!), i already own :( , ha but i bet there are some really good deals on there that you'll be interested in if you just look around.

If you see any super good deals when you look through it, please post it here because someone here might not have seen it.

I used to use Steam, however I don't really have time for games anymore. These sales are tempting though as they do have some really good prices.

Apparently there are a few ways of getting steam running on Linux, I'm going to check them out. It's been ages since I played Audiosurf :D

i thought they had games for linux now? Or at least thats what i thought was next after they made games available for os x. hmmm

Anyways i thought there would be some super special deals for today since its Christmas, but it hasn't updated. same deals from yesterday.

blah!

btw, too bad that linux mint doesnt have the software store like ubuntu. i usually find some decent free games in there. Crash alot, but they work sometimes :p

Mint has the same software repositories as Ubuntu. There are a bunch of cool games in there.

If I get Crossover for Linux, it works with Steam and a number of other Windows apps so it sounds like a really good way to play games on Linux. Although it costs $40 so I'm going to test out the trial. I doubt I'll buy it though, I am so comfortable using Mint, but who knows if I'll give up and go back to Windows. Surely it would just be better to dual boot Windows rather than paying for Crossover.

i just bought the Crysis pack (both games: original Crysis, and Crysis Warhead) for like $10, and then Section 8 for $5. I hear section 8 is really good for multiplayer.

I was just going to by Crysis warhead because it comes with the newer multiplayer game, but getting both of them for $10 wasnt that bad.

Downloading Section 8 :D hope its as cool as i hear :D

They cant be as bad as Call of duty: black ops :| which $59 was wasted on.

How much do Crysis and Crysis Warhead usually cost?

I'm having trouble installing my pirated copy of Warhead :D

I guess games are pretty cheap on Steam anyway so I should start paying for them.

says warhead is usually $19.99 and Crysis is usually $29. Weird since Warhead is the second release, which you think would cost more.

hmm

It is telling me that they are both US$7.49 each or $12.49 for both of them. I guess I get different prices because I am viewing it from India? Or has the deal changed now?

I am actually considering getting some First Person Shooter games from Steam. I guess Crysis is one of the best and I do enjoy playing it. How good are the new Battlefield games? The most recent one I played was Battlefield 2 which wasn't very good.

battlefield: bad company 2 is the best game ever. i love it. :D

makes me excited and i cant wait to see what battlefield 3 is going to be like. bc2 is my first battlefield game too.

i would suggest bc2 over any game. i think its $7 right now on steam for sale, which is bs since i paid like retail price $49 or whatever last year, ha but its worth it.

I used to love playing Battlefield 1942 and Vietnam, Battlefield 2 was better graphically, but I found it less enjoyable. I'll give Bad Company a go sometime though.

Steam doesn't have many good deals today. The Quake pack would be fun, for old times sake, but I don't think I want to go and buy too many games because the ones I have now will keep me entertained for a while.

Crysis is now 25% off, lucky you got it for me yesterday :D

So i actually skipped over thie GTA IV sale. I figure i already bought the damn GTA IV when it came out for like $49/59 whatever it was on release day.

But today i bought he command & conquer 3: Triberian Wars, cnc3 kanes wrath, CNC red alert 3. They were $4.99 each, besides tiberian wars which was $7.99.

these games are worth it. been a huge fan of the CNC series since i got my computer in 1997 :D So im happy i didnt buy the GTA IV ones.

I am interested to see the online play in these game.

Man i am not having a good steam week, LOL. i am unable to play any of the CNC games i bought due to blocked ports or something.

EA suggested that i unhook my router and connect my computer straight into the modem, but thats not really an option since im not the only one who uses the internet here.

but i think its a port problem. I already tested it and my isp does block the needed ports, and my router isnt listed on the ones that are known to have problems. So i sent my ISP an email asking them to remove the block. We'll see.
