Lets just say that you have a choice of requesting a famous artist today to record and release one of michaels songs....who would you choose? why? and what song?

Well, remember when Lil' Romeo released a version of I Want You Back a few years ago? Yeah, anyway, I don't know. I can't think of anyone at the moment.

Ian Brown, lead singer of the great Stone Roses.

He done Billie Jean and Thriller a few years back, different but good.

I would also say Whitney Houston. She has an amazing voice, and I think she could really pull off some of his ballads.

I have no idea. :)

Once again, Ian Brown.

Live he sounds like a dog barking into a bucket but on record he done Billie Jean and Thriller justice, check it out if you have not already.

I'd like to hear Mariah Carey do another of Michaels songs she has an amazing voice, and i also agree that Whitney Houston, and Joss Stone would also be good at releasing a Michael song, but idon't know which ones!

:mj:

No-one ... Even artists that I expected to do his songs justice dissapointed me ...

So ... no-one ...

Cheers,

Geri

I thought so too. LOL!
Okay I love MJ, but I think Patti LaBelle would blow all the artist out of the water including Michael on this situation. she has a flawless voice and can do everyone of his songs if she chose.
Billy Gilman can sing all of Michael's J5 songs really well. Remember his performance of "Ben" on the 30th anniversary special? It was really really good. He almost sounded like Michael. :mj: He has a lot of talent.
I like the way Luther Vandross did Man IN the Mirror for the 30th Ann. I 'm sad he died...but if he was alive i think it would sound great if he did the whole thing...and he isn't really famous but Mario Vasquez off of AMERICAN IDOL I reallllllly loved the way he sang Whatever Happens :mj:

While there are many great artists out there who can sing, I couldn't choose one to sing an MJ song. I don't know. No one sings a Michael Jackson song quite like Michael Jackson, I mean afterall they are his songs, and so I wouldn't want to hear it any way else.
