Michael Jackson is one of the most talented and popular musical artists of the modern age. An instantly identifiable voice, phenomenal dance moves, stunning musical versatility, and a wealth of sheer star power have seen him sell out stadiums across the globe and generate record sales in excess of 135 million around the world. February 20th 2006 sees the beginning of yet another chapter in the history of this legendary entertainer as VISIONARY - THE VIDEO SINGLES is launched.

 

Each week over a 5 month period Sony BMG will release 20 of Michael Jackson's greatest singles. Each single will be issued as a Dual Disc allowing not only his most popular singles to be collected but also their accompanying videos. This new technology allowing CD and DVD content on one disc is the perfect medium for an artist whose music, videos and love of innovation is renowned. In yet another landmark in Michael's career he will become the first performer EVER to release a single on Dual Disc.

 

Each single will be limited and numbered and be packaged in card wallets which feature original 12" or 7" artwork. The first single 'Thriller' will be released in a beautifully designed, limited edition numbered box. This box will house all future releases in the series.

 

Each Dual Disc single will feature the original 7" or radio edit plus a classic remix or bonus track, both digitally remastered, and of course the classic accompanying video.

Man that is not fare for the US fans, I really want those but they cost to damn much.

I'd rather find some of the original singles. I don't really care for the videos because i already have them. I just always wanted singles such as the JAM MAXI SINGLE

I want it, but I look at it this way:

If it was available for me to buy it, then I wouldn't even have enough money left over to buy the charity single when it's released.

 

So I guess it's kind of good that they're not releasing it here, seeing as that I have not the money.

Usually singles sold overseas will be released at some point in time, just be sold for more here in the US. I remember trying to buy all the Backstreet Boys (i'm a big fan of them also) singles and every single one here was an import so i had to spend like 10 bucks for a single with a few songs on it..i was PISSED LOL...and then one of their albums they released overseas, it was considered and import and i payed 40 bucks for it here in the US....too bad i wasn't into the amazon/ebay bandwagon i could have got it for cheap LOL.

MJ fans should be careful if they want to get these important. i hope you just want to get them to collect or listen to, cuzz of the video standards being different here.

 

I have no idea why they aren't releasing it here. Maybe they want to release it everywhere else first?

 

This totally brings back the GHOST memories. I wanted that real dvd/vhs so badly!!! LOL

 

I'd actually rather have ghost than this since these are just singles and videos that we mostly already have.

This makes me sooo mad. I actually went to australia this summer..and they didn't even have ghosts there..they said that they stopped making it..GAHas;lkjfd;lsakdf. I feel like they're dissing the Americans..I mean I was born in Australia, but I grew up here (in california)..I'm bummeddd.
