Rockstar finally fixes Red Dead Redemption 2 Volume bug
but nothing else
Rockstar has finally released a patch that fixes the annoying volume bug that was introduced in the December 1st, 2020 update on PC.
As many may recall, since that update, every time you loaded the game or visited any of the main menus, the volume for the game would automatically be turned down super low. You would have to alt+tab out of the game, launch the windows volume mixer and manually raise the volume for the game back up. It was a stupid and super annoying bug, that should’ve never existed, but did. And continue to exist for over 2 months.
Not sure why it took Rockstar over 2 months to fix such a simple bug. They didn’t seem to fix much else with this patch, such as the stupid belt/weapon/clothing bug that was introduced in the same December 1st update (where belts and straps are no longer tight around your characters body, and appear super goofy and loose. Hopefully they fix that bug soon, it just looks silly).
The patch is around 200mb on Steam, and around 5gb on Rockstar Launcher, and I’m not sure why that is. It just annoys me that it took them this long to fix it, they could’ve immediately have released a hot patch to fix just that issue. Many people who bought the game for the $4.99 Red Dead Online standalone deal, may have not have realize the audio was not supposed to be super low.
