What do you all think is the best song either written by Michael Jackson or Produced by him and which was given for an another Artist to record? I would say two songs which come to my mind straight away. The first is a song by Ralph Tresvant (Who is also a member of the group New Edition) with a song called "Alright Now" and the second is by BLACKStreet with the song called "Joy". As some of you may know New Edition started out as J5 clones with their number 1 hit "Candy Girl" and Ralph was the lead singer and was seen as the next Michael. They had great success as a group and all of them were hugely successful solowise especially Bobby Brown. Now Ralph's solo album came out in 1990 and he had a hugh hit with "Sensitivity" and the producers of that song and other songs on that album called Jimmy jam & Terry Lewis were in the studio and let Michael Jackson listen to the entire album that they had recorded with New Edition called "Heartbreak" and Michael was very impressed and especially Ralph's vocals since he had matured from when he was a kid. So Michael wrote the song with I think John Barnes and forwarded it to Ralph's Record label (MCA Records) and he wanted Ralph to record it. So Ralph being the big fan he was jumped at the chance. It is a wonderful song and straight away you can see the Michael style in that song. The BLACKStreet song is just a lovely song. It really is a "Joy" to listen to it and I think the best Teddy Riley and Michael collaboration. I think Michael co-wrote it and sang background vocals on it too. This was on teh album BLACKStreet and came out in 1994. Check these songs out if you haven't done already.

Hi I am fairly a new member and only because I found out about this site a little later than some of ya'll here....Now at the start I had to post at least 15 to go into the Multi media which was no problem as I came to this forum not only for downloads but for news, discussions and general views of the people at large...as I was allowed after 15 posts I have downloaded a few files and was planning on posting some myself...then all of a sudden it now requires you to have at least 50 to go back into that section...I mean damn...I see what ya'll trying to do but I don't want to just post about wish wash and complete Gibberish just to make up the 50 and by the time I get to 50 (which by the way I have no idea how many posts I have made thus far) all the downloads that I was looking forward to would have all expired...that is so not fair...and I understand people do re-post but I also know alot don't do re-posts...as face it it is time consuming.... Anyway just my thoughts. By the way I did not know exactly where to post this so I also posted it here in the general section...if it does not belong here then I do apologise. Thanks One Love

If The family praised Mike then why the hell are they taking him to trial. Think about it if (God Forbid) your son got molested by some phedophile then you are not going to praise him in fact you want to see him vanish from the face of the Earth..... So something does not seem right here....what do you guys think?

I think this trial will take a long time. Like Mike said it is going to be a Marathon...he has got to make sure he wins in the end

Alot of people were let down by the Invincible album I was for one...and it took sometime getting used to. But mostly after all the hype and knowing how long he took to record it the end product does not justify taking that much time...I was really expecting something that would blow me away but it just didn't in the end...but what lets it down is there are no real uptempos that are to the level that he can achieve...the ballads are nice enough...but uptempos are weak in my opinion.

I loved the two stages of the Jacksons career. The first half was the Magic of the Motown Sound and then they moved to the Pop Disco type sound. and in early 80s that Toto who did the Africa song they infused that style into their own. I loved it

Yes I knew about that..That Dr Dre turned him down. I read the interview he gave and he was real open about it. It was not that Mike would ruin his image but he said something on the lines that he likes to develop artists and not the other way round and he knows how intense it is to work with Michael as Rodney Jerkins knows about that....just hours and hours on end in the studio going back to the drawing board and starting all over again to get the sound that Michael wants...so Dre was being honest about it and gave admiration for Michael.

mjj_jdj I agree with you there... Good points you raised there and before we go around bashing Paul we have to look at the ethics. But one thing that I can't understand is that for the catalogue to be available for purchasing and whereby people bid and the highest bidder (in this case Michael) gets to purchase it doesn't that mean that Paul who owned it made it available. Taking your xample of poetry...if you did not want to sell it make it not available for purchasing...where is the law that says NO YOU HAVE TO MAKE IT AVAILABLE...do you see what I am saying...or have I got it all wrong. Does anyone know the ins and outs of music rights etc.

I say bring back Quincy and see what they can conjure up for the new generation while keepin the Old Die Hards happy... But hands down YOU GOTTA be down with JIMMY JAM & TERRY LEWIS...those guys are LEGENDS...look how long they have been around and they are going strong even today...with everyone from Usher to Mary J Blige still working with them...while their Peers like Teddy Riley and Babyface have faded and not had a hit in years and years...they have stood the test of time... you put them in the studio with Mike...it is a formula for a hit... Also give Dr Dre a chance he is a Hip Hop Legend and Hip Hop is takin over the charts it has done for years now.... But those are my main picks...

Hey to be honest Billie Jean I get bored watching it over and over...sure he has changed it and tried to make it fresh after so many years....and I must confess his acting when he brings out the case is silly...he looks like a dope as if he is lost...LOL Hey fan or no fan I am real...not dissing here just sayin'...also I liked it best in Motown and that was very simple.... But i do like the new Robotics...they are always a delight to watch

Hard One but I go with Thriller but Off The Wall is very close...Thriller only takes it coz on Off The Wall maybe one song or two are slightly weaker than the rest....Thriller is a smash from start to finish and you could tell the picks for the songs on Thriller were based on single's material....each track is a single worthy song....

Monkey Business is a silly song....I am glad he saw that it is not worthy of going on any album....

Goin Places - Man Of War, Even Though You're Gone (I love it!) and I Got To Find Me A Girl The Jacksons - Enjoy Yourself, Good Times, Show You The Way To Go, Dreamer And as a Bonus I Will choose a song or two from The Jackson 5 LP Moving Violation - All I Do Is Think Of You (I LOVE THIS ONE) and Breezy well there you have it my picks....

I won't even try or even attempt to pick out favs from Off The Wall Thriller or Bad....but for the rest here goes: Invincible - Speechless Blood On The Dancefloor (Remix Album) - Ghosts. (But other than that I Don't have a favourite...I hated it especially the new songs were VERY VERY weak...songs from other artists around the same time when that came out were sooo much better quality...those songs sounded out dated even Teddy Riley said so and that they did them around the time of Dangerous....) HIStory - They Don't Care About Us, Tabloid Junkie and You Are Not Alone Dangerous - Who Is It

I hate this song....what was he thinking when he did this...one of his worse songs to date...no sorry...in fact Shout would take that title

Everything in the news is biased...not just this about Mike...but look at the World Affairs....

I am down with AJ & Free they always show mad love to Black Artists and those that don't get their dues...

People have it in them to poke fun for their own amusement...but if they thought how would they feel if they were the object of ridicule...then i am sure they would think twice about poking fun out of others...it isn't nice....

Mike should toughen up...he has got to realise that things in the court can get nasty...be prepared for it...then it makes you more resilient
