Thanks for this one. The other AMA performance of this song I did manage to download but I could not play it in Media player as I needed a seperate codec to view the file...any clue as to which codec I need and where to download it from...I have the DivX bundle I think version 5 or something...

Yep Yep! A Trend Setter that's what he is. And the tape on his fingers is part of him setting trends trying to be different. I also agre with the person who said that it makes you follow hand movements as everything becomes visual... Speaking of doing things differently...does anyone remember wearing clothing back to front....man that was a trip....when I think back on that...LOL

YOu know jojo about the falling to his knees I was thinking about that for a second... all I know it must have hurt him that floor is a hard surface and he had no knee pads or anything....have you all noticed in later concerts (e.g. Dangerous and HIStory) he now wears knee protection... so in that respect for this performance I give him kudos just for that fact alone...very courageous...

Any other thoughts who Mike should work with?? As an MJ fan I am also fans of other singers, songwriters and producers. It would be interesting to see what people think would be a great collaboration. One thing I was very dissappointed about was that Boyz II Men sang backing vocals on the History song but I felt it should have been a song that was more of a duet. Kind of like Boyz II Men collaboration with Mariah carey with "One Sweet Day" now that song was lovely and deserved to stay at number 1 for 18 Weeks....Mike should have done song with them. I was let down by the fact that you couldn't even tell if Boyz II Men were singing in History...only if you listen carefully. What does everyone else think???

I remember once I contemplated compiling a CD kind of like an Anthology of Michael Jackson, but as I started listing all the songs I realised this list is forever ongoing LOL...I mean the list got so long I thought it is impossible to do for Michael. For other artists there is not a problem picking out best songs but Michael has many especially if you had to include the Motown era songs and songs he has featured on. So from that day on I thought i will stick to all the CDs and records I have and not even attempt to do an Anthology of his best songs.

To me it shows mutual respect. The Godfather of Soul and the KIng of Pop giving each other props and support..That's love for you right there. And Michael needs all the support now. So that was good to read. Thanks for posting that.

You got to remember Most if not all of the media is biased in one way or another. The media can make you and won't wait a minute to break you. Media helped Michael in his domination of the Music World but now and for many years it is rallying against him to break him down. But a REAL talent can never go down that's what they don't understand.

You know I have never had the opportunity to listen to that song by Greg Phillinganes written by Michael. Is it any good? Does Michael sing background vocals??? Also what year was it?

Yes that was not fully live. I watched that performance again and again as someone here mentioned that it was live and I just could not believe it. I mean put it this way if it is all live then he sings live EXACTLY as he does on the record. I always thought the ending with the ad libs is live. I could be wrong. But still a CLASS performance.

I agree a brilliant performance. However a slight criticism is that he was not singing live. Now I am sure not every performance at the Grammy's is done with playback songs used instead of live singing....

Really... Is that the only song you have heard. You really ought to check some of the other ones out. I will try to get a complete list of every song that he has written and or produced for others. Some are really really great. Personally I love the more soulful and R&B style so I favour them over say the song you are referring to "muscles".
