HumbleBundle is having an amazing sale for two weeks, that has at least 3 games that I have written about before which I still recommend. You can buy all 3 of these games, and several more for only $10! First one is RollerCoaster Tycoon 2: Triple Thrill Pack. Although this game was first released in 2002, it's still huge amounts of fun. RollerCoaster Tycoon is basically a theme park simulator, where you can create a park from rides, to custom coasters, and manage it. I wrote about it 6 years ago. This game is normally $9.99 on steam. [caption id="attachment_1663" align="aligncenter" width="656"] RollerCoaster Tycoon 2[/caption] The second is Miscreated, which is an new multiplayer open world survival game, that is still in early access. I highly recommend, especially if you like DayZ, but have been let down by the Standalone.  I first wrote about it 5 months ago. This game is normally $19.99 on steam. [caption id="attachment_4034" align="aligncenter" width="768"] Miscreated - Oh no! I've been spotted[/caption] The third is Prison Architect, which is a prison simulator where you build a prison from scratch, and try to keep it profitable while remaining safe and secure. I have played this game for hundreds of hours within the past few past months. The devs are continuously updating it and adding new features. I first wrote about it 11 months ago and again 5 months ago, and since then it's been greatly improved on and so much better. This game is normally $29.99 on steam. [caption id="attachment_4239" align="aligncenter" width="768"] Prison Massacre[/caption] There are many more games in this bundle such as: Devil Daggers, Runestone Keeper, Stronghold Crusader 2, Punch Club, and more to be added soon, but its worth it at the top tier price of $10 (save $50 off the normal prices!) for the 3 games I've mentioned, alone. I haven't played the other games. You can view and buy the bundle here: https://www.humblebundle.com/jumbo-bundle-7, but be quick! There's only 13 days left!
I was so excited the other day when I found out about History Vault, which is a PAID streaming service provided by A&E Network's History Channel that gives you unlimited access to an ever increasing amount of historic films and documentaries. It pretty much has nearly every actual show that was ever on the History channel, minus the silly reality crap. I used to love the History channel, but as I already mentioned, its full of reality shows now. I do love American Pickers and Pawn Stars, but I really love actual historic shows and documentaries as well, and these are becoming so rare on the channel. H2 used to be where they'd keep all the interesting shows on, but recently that changed to some channel for Leftist Propaganda -- again, nothing interesting. So, I was immediately interested when I saw the commercial for History vault on tv, which sad: [caption id="attachment_4744" align="alignleft" width="277"] Some Collections[/caption] HISTORY Vault
Access hundreds of hours of historical videos to explore the world's most fascinating subjects. Commercial free Content updated weekly Monthly and annual subscription options $4.99 / MONTH or $49.99 / YEAR, after a 7 day Free Trial I immediately got online and signed up for the monthly plan. Currently they only offer access via a Roku, and iOS app. Soon they'll have an Android app, and a Web player where you can watch it from your browser. I signed up around the 15th Anniversary of the 9/11 Attacks, so the main page on Vault  was decided to 9/11 footage. The way the guide works is it has "Collections", which is basically categories for videos, for example, you'll have 9/11 collection which is where all the 9/11 videos are stored, Presidential Collections for related videos, Ancient Discoveries for videos about Ancient Egypt, etc. There is so much interesting footage, for example, there are even old Presidential Campaign ads from the "From The Campaign Trail" collection, and the JFK adds are very cool. Takes you back in time. [caption id="attachment_4740" align="aligncenter" width="768"] JFK 1960 Campaign Ad[/caption] I have had zero problems with streaming videos. There has been zero downtime, nor any buffering issues for me , and I've watched hours upon hours of footage so far. Everything instantly loads, and all footage seems to be good quality, given that much of the footage is very old, and alot of the shows were produced years ago. As advertised, there are zero ads or commercials, just pure content, which is amazing. Something I really love is the resume feature. It service remembers the exact moment where you left off in a video, which is something I wish Sling would get right (resuming kinda works on Sling, but barely and rarely, and fast forwarding doesn't work so in order to finish watching a show, you have to rewatch the entire thing, AHH! But not the case on History Vault). The Roku app looks nearly identical to the iOS app, and works great. If you're a history fan, this is a must have service, at least try it with the 7 day trial (credit card required, cancel before trial is up). No complaints! https://www.historyvault.com/ Update: 9/22/16 - I have found a problem, which is there seems to be no search functionality. I wanted to find videos about a certain subjection, but was unable to do something. Hopefully they add this functionality in the future.
It's very rare that I post deals here, but this is such a great deal that I had to share it. Currently Prison Architect is 75% off on Steam, which means the prices is only $7.49! Which is a heck of a deal for this great game. The sale ends on September 2. You can also buy the special versions, and get the Introversioner version that comes with the following 4 other games:  Uplink, Darwinia, DEFCON and Multiwinia I wrote a couple articles in the past about how much I've enjoyed this game, and so far I've sunk nearly 100 hours into it, and still having a blast. The devs have also recently released the 2.0 version  which came with alot of new features and bug fixes. Link to Steam Store Page: http://store.steampowered.com/app/233450/
I usually don't give two damns about what opinions entertainers have, they should simply do their jobs which is to entertain us, and go on their way, but this time it has upset me, mostly because I was a huge Green Day fan, and had been for decades (even though their last few releases were mostly shit). In a recent interview with Kerrang! magazine (never heard of it), the Green Day lead singer Billie Joe started discussing politics, and spoke about Trump and his supporters. Saying: I don't even care that Billie Joe is ignorant to Trump and Hitler and their policies, but the way he just put down and disrespected many of his OWN fans including myself, well it actually hurt. I may be pissed off, but I'm not racist, and I can and do have a leg up, so fuck you Billie Joe. This comes around the time that Green Day is releasing a new single and soon new Album, so he could just be trying to get attention, but disrespecting fans isn't the way to go.  I'm no longer interested in any of his music. Oh well, I guess I'm too old to be listening to a 45 year old guy who wears eye liner and fluffs his hair.
Alot of people these days seem to use the KIK Instant Messenger, which is a mobile only app. My main problem with it is I hate typing on my phone when I don't have to, and I spend alot of my  homelife around my computer which is a desktop, and i'd prefer to use the desktop due to convenience and ease. This is also the case with many other apps that are mobile only. Keep in mind that some messengers such as WhatsApp are based off phone numbers, while KIK just relies on a username login, so Whatsapp and other number related apps probably wont work using this method, but WhatsApp does have a half asses desktop client, which is too annoying to use because it requires you to keep your phone connected, which kinda defies the point. I discovered a way to get around this, which is essentially using a emulator, which emulates Android. There might be one for iOS, im not sure, but most iOS apps are also on Android, so it's not a very big deal. All you need to emulate android apps on the desktop is a piece of FREE software called Bluestacks, which you can download from http://www.bluestacks.com/. The download is about 300mb, which isn't a tiny download, but also isn't large. Once downloaded you install it and within minutes you'll have the Android OS on your desktop. [caption id="attachment_4651" align="aligncenter" width="768"] Android Running on Windows with BlueStacks[/caption] Once you have it installed you can goto the Google Play Store and download the KIK or any other mobile os app that you want, and it'll run flawlessly on your desktop. Also the notifications in each app will alert you from the Windows 10 Notification center. So if you get message on KIK, windows will alert you, which personally I found annoying and I am currently looking for a way to disable it, but this feature may be helpful to some. One annoying thing though is if you sign in to KIK from another client it logs you out of all other clients, and erases your chat history, but I notice KIK has these issue often so it's not a huge deal since KIK is unreliable in that aspect to begin with. Bluestacks seems to work flawlessly using a mouse and keyboard as well. I haven't tested any mobile games or anything like, but it is interesting to be able to log into my old google account that I haven't touched in years, I haven't had a Android device is at least 6 years.
Florida's Fox 35's reporter Mike Synan got caught lying on his facebook when reporting about a recent Trump rally at Silver Spurs Arena in Kissimmee, FL. He posted pictures of a barely filled arena with the caption: Only problem is, the pictures were taken before the event, and as a matter of fact, once the rally started, every seat was full, and thousands of more people outside wanting in. Here is an actual picture of the rally while taking place: This is only another example of the media being biased against Donald Trump, and not only twisting what he says, but completely making stuff up. Mike Synan is either a liar, or just stupid. So far, he has yet to remove his post or correct the record even with hundreds upon hundreds of comments on the images calling him a liar. Example of some of the comments: This is another reason why I do not trust the polls -- which are taken and provided by the same liars. Hillary can't fill a high school gymnasium, Trump over packs stadiums and arenas.
This political season is such bullshit, and this video proves in. Not only did the recent WikiLeaks confirm that the major "news" networks are in collusion with the DNC, but its also painfully obvious when watching these networks. Some how the Mainstream Media feels that its okay to completely fabricate story's about Trump, and not only they -- they cut the mics of supporters who are willing to come on the shows. Here is a compilation of such instances of MSM anchors bullying and shutting off the mics of anyone who goes against the networks narrative. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0Y60H5au3vo
It was only a matter of time before one of these idiots got hit by a car. While I don't condone violence, common sense suggest that its not a very good idea to stand in the middle of the road, especially at night. Also I don't think blocking a road in protest works when its only one person. The protest was to mark the two year Anniversary of Michael Brown's death, who was found to be a thug that pretty much got himself shot while trying to attack a police officer. "Gunshots sent protesters fleeing in Ferguson, Missouri on Tuesday, after a car hit a protester. Steven Tyler -- the lead singer of Aerosmith - has taken a break from the band and has came out with his own solo album entitled 'We're All Somebody from Somewhere'. The album has a bit of a different sound than what we're used to with Aerosmith, it's more Country and sock rock sounding, but still has that Aerosmith instrumental sound, which I suppose could be because its all balanced around Steven's voice. I'm really enjoying the album so far, but the song that has really caught my attention is the first track off the album titled 'My Own Worst Enemy'. 'My Own Enemy' is a song about a relationship that has broken up, and he blames it all on himself, and accepts responsibility citing that -- well as the title states: he's his own worst enemy. Personally, I can really relate to the lyrics: It's a very good album, especially this song alone. Check out the song above. Can buy the album, or single MP3s  from: ** ALL LINKS ARE unaffiliated! Did hell just freeze over, or is this guy doing what he usually does, which is just scare the shit out of his base(he makes money off of weak minded people by scaring them with stories and conspiracies about guns, big corporations etc)? Does Michael Moore truly believe that Trump will be the next President of the United States? Michael Moore, who is a leftist "documentarian", known for his films 'Bowling For Columbine' which was about gun control, and 'Fahrenheit 911', which was about the September 11th Attacks and how it was all the fault of Bush and the Republicans -- Was on Real Time With Maher this past weekend where he brought the crowd to tears by saying: "I think one of the things I've been concerned about this week is... that we're all sitting in our bubble having a good laugh at this total shitshow, but the truth is that this plays to a lot of people that he has to win to become the next president, and I have to say… I’m sorry to have to be the buzz kill this early on, but I think Trump is going to win… I’m sorry", Moore said, which drew huge booes and tears from the audience. "I lived in Michigan, and let me tell you. It's gonna be the Brexit strategy. The middle of England is Michigan, Wisconsin, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Mitt Romney lost by 64 electoral votes. The total electoral votes of those states in the rust belt, 64. All he has to do is win those four states. I was there during the primary, and he went down and said they moved this factory down to Mexico, I'm putting a tariff on the cars, and it was music to peoples' ears, And more people in the primary in Michigan voted Republican than Democrat this year. That should be a disturbing thing for everyone." Moore added. I do agree with him, although his motives might be more sinister and greedy. I've said since the first time I heard Trump speak at one of his rallies last year -- that he was going to be the next President, and i am pretty sure that Trump will be. Watch the video of Michael Moore on Real Time above. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nxzQWIvD0ek
I quit watching CNN months ago when they manufactured the entire KKK thing with Trump and it became obviously clear that they have some weird leftist agenda and narrative that they're following. But its nice to see some gems like this every now and then that comes from CNN. In this instance, renown Milwaukee County Sheriff David Clarke demolishes CNN Anchor Don Lemon over "Hateful Black Lives Matter". Sheriff Clarke has long been an outspoken critic of Black Lives Matter, which he refers to as "Black Lies Matter",  since the Group/Movement was based on the lie that Michael Brown was executed by a white police officer while his hands were up in the air -- creating the 'hands up, don’t shoot' narrative, which is debunked by eye witnesses, and crime scene forensic evidence. I'm not sure what Lemon or CNN were thinking by having Clarke come on since his disdain and criticizer for Black Lives Matter and President Obama's anti-cop rhetoric is well known. But due to the shooting earlier in the day in Baton Rouge, CNN decided to have the Sheriff on to give his in message on the shootings, and the result was incredible and really satisfying. Lemon obviously wasn't expecting the Sheriff to answer the way he did, and as soon as the Sheriff started talking and left the "narrative", Lemon quickly became very condescending, interruptive, and at one point even asked Sheriff Clarke to leave. Watch the Full Interview below: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dAu44wVgb58
CNN has made zero effort this political season of covering up their biased news reporting and it became very clear today when they quietly cut off a known CNN reporter Brianna Keilar for criticizing Hillary today.  Watch the video below: http://youtu.be/RhLXwkHtMns CNN has a history of misreporting and being biased against Republican Presidential Nominee Donald Trump such as when they asked him over and over to disavow the supposed endorsement by former KKK leader David Duke in which trump did several times to CNN until Trump finally gave an enviab off answer in which they blew out of portion and context.  CNN has became so obviously biased dor Hillary that they have developed the nick name Clinton News Network
Dead By Daylight is a online 1vs4 survival horror type game where one person plays as a Killer --  like Jason from the Friday The 13th movies, and the other 4 people play as Survivors who have to escape by turning on Generators to open some main gate. Steam recently had another one of its lackluster Summer Sales, and this game was marked down to $15, normally $20, which isn't much of savings. I've been debating on getting this game for a while, but was very weary of the replay value. It seems like a very simple game, and I've read alot of posts about people complaining about not being able to play the main game with friends. I seen option to do that, and i don't know if thats a new feature, or some simple dumbed down feature where maybe perhaps they don't get points or progress the way you do in the normal game. None of my Steam friends have this game so i haven't touched it. Anyways, I ended up getting the game for the $15. After loading up the game, you arrive at a menu that gives several options including QUICK PLAY and Tutorials. The Tutorials provides video guides on how to play as either the survivor, or as a killer. After watching the tutorials, I felt confident enough to give the game a try, so I hit QuickPlay which quickly matched me up with 4 other survivors and a killer. In the lobby you can customize your players with perks and unlock that you get by playing, doing good and leveling up. There are only around 4 survivor characters in the game, which I believe all have their own special abilities. The annoying thing is since there are only 4 characters, you usually end up playing with 4 people who look identical. You can change some parts of the clothing on the players, but the selection is very limited and pretty much pointless. [caption id="attachment_4493" align="aligncenter" width="768"] The Triplets. Very limited skins/characters in Dead By Daylight[/caption] Once everyone is done messing with their load outs and which perks they wish to use, everyone clicks ready and the game has a 5 second count down. Matchmaking is not the great in any way. Has nearly zero options such as max ping, and regions, etc to be paired with. Matchmaking can also take ages. I'm sure the Killer is the one who hosts the games due to the Killer being the one who gets the CREATE LOBBY and everyone has to be matched with you. The weird thing is you can wait minutes upon minutes for anyone to be matched with you, but  once it does match, it seems to fill all 4 slots at the same time. After the initial surge join happens, some players will leave while join. But Matchmaking works so that's great. [caption id="attachment_4521" align="aligncenter" width="768"] Matchmaking complete, game is starting. AHH! The limited characters/skins.[/caption] Would be very nice to have the option to invite a friend to the match, so they can play with you along with strangers. Upon loading into the actual game I noticed how eerie the world felt. The maps i believe are procedurally generated, so they're never identical, some maps are darker, while others are a bit lighter while still being foggy. This is the first map I was in and it was dark, with some light coming from the moon. The graphics are pretty nice, and everything looks like a horror movie. You have crows, fire, mist, fog etc. [caption id="attachment_4501" align="aligncenter" width="768"] One of the lighter maps in the game. Not bad looking at all. Survivor being sacrificed[/caption] The sound is great as well. There is spooky music, but it doesn't drown out the sounds of the world such as the killer getting closer, which you know by his footsteps, and by the sound of your heart racing. I tried to move around to find some generators to start, but the damn killer had already found me within the first few seconds. I tried to run, but it being my first time, he quickly caught me, and hung me on his hook. I tried to free myself from the hook, which only makes you die faster. There is no team chat in the game, so I was unable to ask for help. There are visuals in the game such as outlines where people can see that you're hanging and need help, but no one attempted to save me, and then bam! I was Sacrificed and dead. Once you die you can either spectate the rest of the game, or leave and join another. I spectated for a sec, then joined another game. I planned on living much longer the second time, but nope, same exact thing happened again within the first few seconds. There are two different types of cameras on the game. The Killer gets FIRST PERSON view, while the survivors get third person. I suppose this is supposed to make it easier for the survivors because it allows for them to look around and over things, and harder for the killer. I prefer first person especially on computer games. Actually one of the main issues I have with playing as survivor is the weird camera. I'd prefer it to be a little bit zoomed out at least, but meh. [caption id="attachment_4500" align="aligncenter" width="768"] Survivor View distance[/caption] After dying nearly instantly as a survivor, I decided to have a go as a killer. There are 3 different types of killers you can choose from, and as with the Survivors, each seem to have their own kills, weapon and perks. I decided to use THE HILLBILLY because he has a cool chain saw, and a nice sledge hammer. Playing as the killer was alot different. The Killer basically has to track down survivors, and based on his skills/perks, he has to knock down a Survivor usually by hitting them twice, but some have a tool that can knock them down instantly such as the Hillbilly's Chainsaw, and then the Killer has to pick up the survivor and carry them to the sacrifice hook. The survivor can easily escape while being carried, and even if they get hooked, the player can get free, or be freed by another player. [caption id="attachment_4514" align="aligncenter" width="768"] One of my Sacrifices hanging in the distance.[/caption] The killer can't jump, crouch, run, or do anything but walk. Survivors can throw things down in block pathways which will greatly slow the killer down. There is a very annoying bug that the community calls "Window Juking", which is a Survivor can go through a window an infinite amount of times, and the killer goes through a window very slowly. There has been many times where a Survivor was going in circles through a window, and it was impossible for me to catch them.  Usually I give up on chasing that Survivor and go off and chase the others, but the last time this happened a guy kept going through a window, up stairs over and off a balcony and repeat, and then proceeded to teabag balcony looking down at me after I gave up on going through circles, and I actually raged quit the game. There is nothing fun about going in circles, and the player taunting you just makes it even more annoying. The devs can easily resolve this by including some type of stamina system into the game where there is a cool down or something on how many times you can go through a window a short amount of time. [caption id="attachment_4509" align="aligncenter" width="768"] Idiot teabagging the balcony.[/caption]   The killer can tell where survivors are by a scratch trail that they leave behind, which quickly fades away so you have to follow it fast. [caption id="attachment_4510" align="aligncenter" width="768"] Follow The Trail[/caption] I'm not even going to begin to try to explain the point and leveling system, its weird, confusing, and meh. You get pips, blood points, and all sorts of things... I just play for fun and I eventually level up. Each character has their own level, and currently I've only played as The Hillbilly, in which i'm level 12 currently. [caption id="attachment_4519" align="aligncenter" width="768"] Bloodweb upgrades[/caption] [caption id="attachment_4518" align="aligncenter" width="768"] Perk System[/caption] I prefer playing as the Killer, but it seems many prefer playing as the Survivor. [caption id="attachment_4517" align="aligncenter" width="768"] Injured Survivor![/caption] [caption id="attachment_4516" align="aligncenter" width="768"] Got her[/caption] Also, another major annoyance in this game is that there is no way to communicate with the others, other than inside the lobby. There is no text, or voice chat. So many times i've wanted to tell a survivor fucker to stop "window juking" or else im going to leave, but there is no way. There really needs to be a way to communicate, at least local voice chat. For $20, I'd say this game is worth it. Although it currently has many bugs and annoyances and honestly feels like an early access/alpha title. Attempting to chase survivors who run in circles and "window juke" makes me quit the game and not want to play it again, but most survivors don't abuse this and try to make it fun for everyone, so it only happens a few times out of a handful of games. You can buy the game on Steam for $20 via this link You can find out more info from the official site. There is a similar game being developed right now actually called and based on Friday The 13th, which you may want to keep and eye on.
Squad is probably the most intense FPS shooter I have ever played. It combines many aspects from many of my favorite games, such as the realism, and open world aspect of ARMA, with the battles of Battlefield, and the tactical aspect of Rainbow Six Siege. Even in its current EARLY ACCESS -- Alpha State (i know we're sick of these Early Access titles), with its limited features, this game is a huge amounts of fun that'll keep you busy for hours upon hours. Squad is a massive online 50 vs 50 (100 player) squad based tactical first person combined arms warfare game. [caption id="attachment_4465" align="aligncenter" width="768"] A teammate and myself waiting for smoke to deploy so we can cross the road.[/caption] There have been many times when my entire squad was either attacking, or being ambushed and sometimes stuck within a tiny building or area, where we have to fight our way out to survive. The game is both ticket and time based, so even though you can respawn usually after you die, you really don't want to due to running your teams tickets down, so waiting to be revived by a team medic is the ideal solution. And the goal usually to capture or defend all the flags. The graphics of the game aren't the best, but they aren't bad either. To me, all you need is semi modern graphics if the gameplay itself is fun, and this game provides that. The audio is okay and meh at the same time. While the sound of bullets and grenades going off are realistic and sound amazing, there is no real ambient atmospheric sounds such as nature, wind, trees, etc. You have some of that, but not enough, so if there arent bombs or bullets going off, its kinda silent, which again isn't a major issue, but Squad would, or will be far more immersive when they implement this. I did notice some birds chirping in my past game though, so the devs have apparently thought of this and started to implement such audio. This game is team and squad based, which relies on voice chat which in the game sounds amazing as walkie talkie/radio exchanges. This is not a game to play if you do not have a working microphone. This is not a game to play if you are a lone wolf. This game only fun when the team and squads within the team play together as such, and when they do, its such fun and magic. [caption id="attachment_4457" align="aligncenter" width="768"] One of the many vast open battlefields.[/caption] [caption id="attachment_4458" align="aligncenter" width="768"] Forest combat is very tricky[/caption] This game requires other serious players who aren't against following directions and rules. Squad simply does not work if everyone wants to be a hero or lone wolf. Follow your Squad leaders orders, work as a squad, and even mroe so as a team, and the game will be hugea mounts of fun. I've joined a few games where the Squad leader didn't have a mic, or at least wouldn't talk, and the team would never gain objectives, and we'd all die, and it was no fun at all. I usually skip squads, or even games if the Squad leaders have no mic, and there is no squad communication with the other squads in order for the team to win. This game requires a bit of serious role playing if you want to enjoy it -- know your part and do your job, take it seriously, and you will love this game. But dont worry, it's rare that you join a game where people just fuck about. Nearly every game that i've joined had serious players and it always feels the same no matter the players. Team work, squad work, togetherness is always the same. It's fuckin amazing. [caption id="attachment_4459" align="aligncenter" width="768"] My squad heading out to complete and objective.[/caption] [caption id="attachment_4460" align="aligncenter" width="768"] Squad going for an objective.[/caption] Currently this game is infantry only, and there are many classes, such as Medic, Sniper, and machine gunner, which all have their own special tools and weapons that help them perform tasks, but the devs are currently working on adding vehicles. Squad all sorts of maps and battle types. Some maps are open desert, others are heavily wooded forests, some are more urban in villages, and some sections are in doors which provides nice close quarters combat. [caption id="attachment_4453" align="aligncenter" width="768"] Close Quarters in Squad[/caption] I'm not too familiar with the teams, but it seems sometimes you're in a modern army which have sights on their weapons and armor, and other times you're on a rebel side which have limited weapons without sights and all the fancy stuff, such as Russian Rebels, or Taliban type fellas. [caption id="attachment_4456" align="aligncenter" width="768"] Squad's Server Browser[/caption] This game has a server browser as well, which is awesome. The auto match making other games have is crap, takes ages, and hardly ever works properly, such as Overwatch and Rainbow Six Siege. [caption id="attachment_4452" align="aligncenter" width="768"] My squad preparing to take over an area.[/caption] There are some major bugs, but nothing game killing. The climbing over obstacles is a bit annoying, I think its reliant on the stamina system which seems simple -- you have a bar and once you use it up, there is a cool off time. But even sometimes if you stop running with the bar half way, it wont let you run again til its full. Weird, and annoying, surely needs tweaked and improved, but I thought for the longest time that climbing over things were based on this system, but i recently discovered you can easily climb over things by pressing the couch key as you jumped over. The stamina/running system is interesting though and adds another thing you have to think about as a soldier because you don't want to use up your stamina and then need to run from enemy. This has happened many times wherre i was confronted by the enemy and was unable to run to safety. But then again it doesn't make sense that you can't rerun if the bar isn't depleted. Still Alpha. The only major bug i've came across is one time I was debilitated, and was able to fire my gun or change weapons after being revived by a medic. I had to type the "Suicide" command in console and respawn. Also one time I fell below user made sand bags and was stuck under the map, which I also had to suicide to get out of. These events only happened one time each though out of tens of hours of playtime. The game has only crashed once on me in 15 hours of play. Oh one more thing that is a bit annoying is the fall damage. I'm sure this will be resolved soon, but you can't even stub your toe in the game without being gravely wounded. [caption id="attachment_4455" align="aligncenter" width="768"] Firing shots from under the map. Glitch[/caption] Currently this game is on the Steam summer sale for $29.99 USD, and is usually $39.99, and It's a steal even for the $39.99 price. You won't find the game much cheaper than that, not even on third party key sites such a G2A. Get it while you can at the $29.99 price. I'm really enjoying this game. No regrets. It's also really hard to go back to a shallow game such as Battlefield 4 after playing a game that feel so deep, realistic, and immservice as Squad does. You seriously grow and attachment to your squadmates. I've been thinking about ordering stuff from Walmart.com for IN STORE PICKUP TODAY items for a while now but never actually pulled the trigger. Seemed easier to just goto the store and pick the items up myself. However, for some reason some of the Items listed on Walmart.com are much cheaper than the Items in the store, For example, the Battery Powered Chain Saw I purchased today from Walmart was tagged for $128.00 at the store, while online it was listed for $115. [caption id="attachment_4402" align="aligncenter" width="754"] Walmart.com Listing[/caption] I've read bad reviews about Walmart.com In Store Pickups, for example how long it took to process -- one guy reported that it took up to 8 hours before they had his order ready, and once the customer finally arrived at they store to pick up the item, they had to find a sales associate to fetch their item, etc.  Which made me very hesitant. I really don't have patience, and don't want to wait around all day for an item when I can just go pick it up now, and the $10-20 savings really isn't worth the wait, hassle, or annoyance. I decided today to go ahead and order online. I've been needing an okay chainsaw for a while now to do light work around the yard. I live out in the country and trees grow rapidly and its hard to keep them maintained. I bought a Poulan Pro Gas Powered Chainsaw a few years ago, but I've only been able to get it to start once for a few minutes, and ever since then it hasn't wanted to start. Plus, the way you start the modern gas powered chainsaws is damned annoying. You have to turn them on, prime them, pull the choke half way, pull the starter rope 5 times, pull the choke full pull 5 the rope more times, and hope it starts. It's just stupid. I was at Walmart the other day and saw this Black and Decker 20volt Battery Powered Chainsaw. I never even imagined that they made battery powered chain saws. Black and Decker is a very good brand, and I use many of their tools which seem durable. I went home and studied the chainsaw and every single one of the reviews said that it was very good. So This morning I decided to buy it from Walmart.com for IN STORE PICKUP. There are several Walmart Super Centers around me and each of them carried the chainsaw and had it in stock. I picked one store, decided to pay with Paypal Credit (another nice way to pay online for Walmart items), and within seconds I received an order confirmation. I ordered at 8:40AM, and Got an email and text alert at 9:13am stating that my order was ready to pick up, between 10am and 10pm. WOW! Super fast. [caption id="attachment_4403" align="aligncenter" width="754"] Order Ready for Pickup![/caption] I got to the Walmart a little after 10am, and downloaded the Walmart.com app to my phone because the email said I had to print off the invoice, or just show the invoice on my phone. I figured the app would be the easiest. I assumed that I would have to go to the back of the store where the Walmart.com Instore items are picked up. I think they used to call this area Layaway and Site To Store, I think they just call this place "In Store Pickup" now -- clever, I know. But as I logged into the app, i noticed a big yellow button that said "Check In" and it gave a description along the lines of "Notify an Associate that you are here to pick up item so they can prepare order and have it waiting for you".. which was pretty cool. I had some shopping to do, so I hit check in, and spent a few minutes doing that to give the walmart people a chance to get stuff ready, and by the time i arrived in the back of the store there were two associates waiting for me with my item. I just showed them the order on my phone, my photo ID, and I was on my way. [caption id="attachment_4401" align="aligncenter" width="277"] After "checking in" via the Walmart.com app[/caption] Super fast and easy. Nearly every review I've read for Walmart.com In Store Pickups had been wrong, or maybe I just got super lucky. The entire process was fast, and absolutely hassle free. I'll be using this method alot more in the future, especially if I can save a few bucks. [caption id="attachment_4409" align="aligncenter" width="273"] Really enjoying my new handy Chainsaw![/caption]
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CKCuctAXcHo Silversun Pickups  performing their song "Lazy Eye" Damn, I can't get sick of this song lately. I only recently became aware of this band, and especially this song, and have probably listened to it on repeat at least a hundred times, and this acoustic live version is amazing. The song was released a decade ago, but damn it's so refreshing from the crap that is mostly being released today, and as always, good music is ageless. I remember the first Doom game back when I was a kid. I believe we had it on the Sega Genesis. I wasn't too into games back then so I pretty much loaded them up, fiddled around, and quickly turned them off after quickly becoming bored. I remember most games at the time being platform left to right runners, and racing games. Doom really stood out to me even back then with my lack of video game interest due to it being an immersive 3d first person game. Lately I've been looking for a new game to play. I recently upgraded my graphics card to a EVGA Geforce 980 TI FTW, and i haven't really been able to play any new games to take advantage of it due to the lack of interest in recent games. Division is a mess with cheaters, as is Rainbow Six Siege. I was able to max out graphics in Battlefield 4, but for some odd reason I get so bored of Battlefield now and rarely finish a game. So, I've been waiting, and constantly looking for a new great game to play. At first I wasn't very interested in Doom 2016 when it was announced. As i said, I didn't play the first all that much, and I've read that the multiplayer isn't that fun. However I started to watch movie reviews, and my favorite youtuber (Stefan Molyneux) who mostly does Philosophy videos, had a random review of Doom 2016, and it was enough to make me finally decide to buy the game. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=euLLcwmNKJI I just want a game that I can load up and just kill a bunch of stuff, without much thought, or without worrying about a complex story line. I just want to shoot and kill! Doom 2016 seemed like the perfect game for that. While Doom 2016 doesn't have a crazy story line, it does have a story to help give the game some purpose. The basic story line is that you're on Mars and some company that uses hell and demons to do something has created portals, and some crazy lady set the demons free, or something, and its your job to MASSACRE ALL THE DEMONS and close the portals and stuff..... (I think?!) I got the game for about $38, from key site, and it took about 12 hours to download the game on Steam. This morning the game was finally done downloading and I launched it. First thing I noticed is it doesn't support my Ultra Wide monitor's 21:9 resolution, instead I had to play with black boxes on the side. luckily my monitor is a decently sized (29") so even with black boxes on the  side I get a nice view. ** Sorry about the screenshots being crappy. The game is so fast paced that the majority of my screenshots came out blurry, ha** [caption id="attachment_4339" align="aligncenter" width="768"] First view in the game was a creepy dark room with DEMONS![/caption] Almost immediately upon loading into the game I had demons in my face and was slaughtering them. The game looked incredibly sexy, and ran so smooth. I left the graphic settings on default, and I'm sure I could max them out, but I just left them due to it already looking super sexy. The game really looks and acts just as the original doom did, just better mechanics and graphics. The gameplay, atmosphere was the same, if not more immersive. The visuals combined with the audio, really puts you there. The music is amazing and really pumps you up when you're shooting EVERYTHING IN SIGHT! The controls are smooth and fluid, the combat is nice. The AI is awesome. Don't think they're stupid just because they're demands, I've been flanked many times and destroyed by them, and I'm playing on normal mode. [caption id="attachment_4336" align="aligncenter" width="768"] DEMON![/caption] [caption id="attachment_4367" align="aligncenter" width="768"] GET YOUR JAW BROKE, DEMON![/caption] There is something super satisfying about smashing a Demons head in, or beating them with their own arm. [caption id="attachment_4337" align="aligncenter" width="768"] Smashing a Demons head in is incredibly satisfying![/caption] One of the things I noticed, as I did with the original Doom, and also Duke Nukem 64, is that I started to get some sort of motion sickness. I can play nearly any FPS game just fine, such as Half Life, COD, Battlefield, etc, and not have a single problem, but for some reason Doom makes me feel sick. I did some googling and I think its due to the lack of head bobbing. In Doom, you're pretty much just floating smoothly in the air, and I think this plays some trick on the brain and makes some feel sick, and its not just me that is having this issue, many others are. Some others suggesting altering FOV, which I haven't adjusted or messed with yet. edit: I played more this morning (the next day), and I didn't have much of an issue with feeling sick, so maybe you do adjust. [caption id="attachment_4335" align="aligncenter" width="768"] Oh no! DEMONS and LOW ON AMMO![/caption] The game is super fun, so I hope this is something I can get used to and no longer feel sick. I didn't play the original Doom much in the early days to adjust to it, same with Duke nukem 64. There is an interesting level builder in the game, which I haven't messed with yet, but seen it in the video reviews and it seems cool. Over all, this game is fun, SUPER HUGE FUN! It's fast and its action packed. If you enjoyed the original Doom, you'll especially enjoy Doom 2016. If you're looking for a fast paced game where you can just massacre an entire room of demons without much thought and don't care for a in depth story line, this game is for you. The game isn't easypeasy run and gun though, there are super demons, and i keep getting los ton levels, and i have to walk in circles before I find a new opening where i can get to another part of the map. This could be due to alot of the levels looking the same all over, or me just being a dumbass. But it does seem like many of the maps are puzzles, not in a sense you gotta solve little games in order to proceed, but in the sense you gotta look around and figure out where the hell to go. You do have a navigational indicator on the top Hud Compass, but its just a directional icon, you gotta figure out how to get there—up down over, inbtween, etc.   I can see this game having a huge amounts of replay value, that is if you feel like killing stuff, especially since people can easily create their own levels using the built in map editor. [caption id="attachment_4360" align="aligncenter" width="768"] Gotta have greens, even on demonized Mars![/caption] I'm only like an hour into the game, and I'm having a BLAST. Even with the minor sickness. I tried the multiplayer and its MEH, It's okay. It's certainly no reason to pay $60 for the game, or even the $40 I paid. I hope they can improve the multiplayer. The multiplayer has several game modes as you would expect in a modern online FPS, but its just not very fluid or interesting. [caption id="attachment_4351" align="aligncenter" width="768"] DIE YOU DEMON BASTARDS![/caption] As I stated, I bought the game on a Key site, which is where you can buy CD KEYS for games that can be activated on Steam, Origin, UPlay, etc at a super discounted price. I pretty much buy all my games this way, and I've never had an issue. [caption id="attachment_4357" align="aligncenter" width="768"] Its not all red rusted and gloomy. Here's a nice bluish atmosphere with demons being blown up.[/caption] The site I bought my copy of Doom 2016 on is Kinguin.com, but there are many other sites you can use, such as: G2a.com and CDKeys.com, and I've used all of these sites multiple times and Never had a single issue. I suggest them, but use them at your own risk. If you don't trust the key sites, and want to be legit, or whatever, you can buy the game directly from Steam here. [caption id="attachment_4366" align="aligncenter" width="768"] Hell looks awesome![/caption]
